Information about Online Giving
Our online giving platform – eCatholic – will equip St. Matthew Parish with all the necessary tools to provide safe, secure, convenient transactions for everyone using your bank account or a debit/credit card.
We are dedicated to present a straightforward, seamless approach to online giving on a new platform.
Why? To provide all with a better user experience.
This platform wil allow users to
- change the contribution amount
- change contribution frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
- change the contribution status (pause or un-pause a recurring transaction)
- cancel a recurring transaction
- change the payment type (credit card to ACH)
- Note: the previous platform only allowed credit or debit cards. This is a plus - having ACH available.
- If needed, change Credit Card number and/or expiration date
- Download a .pdf or .csv or their contributions
Why use Online Giving?
Online Giving is a great tool available for making contributions as well making your offerings for Faith Formation or other events.
In today’s high-tech world, how many times do you break out your checkbook? Our Online Giving platform is fast, simple, and has a lot of advantages. Giving online allows you to make a choice to give easily, and you may set up your basic information that can be saved, and also make recurring weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly donations. How you set it up is up to you!

Give anytime from any device with an internet connection, and even choose to set up an automatic recurring contribution.
Easy
Never be directed to a separate site or submit multiple forms.
Effective
Electronic communication confirms all gifts, and recurring gift accounts keep donation records. No more guessing if your gift was received, or misplacing envelopes of checks or cash.There is no need to choose one or the other. You can give online and also give when you attend Mass. There are spiritual benefits of online giving. These include the conviction to give when you want, the opportunity to give the fund or collection you desire, and the priority to make the decision to give.
It’s convenient and easy! It also helps the parish to manage its cash flow, especially during bad weather or vacation times.
When you make a contribution, you will receive a email acknowledgement thanking you for your donation. We are very grateful for the support our parish receives.

Create and Manage Your Online Giving Account

Once you have started your recurring transaction, you will receive an email prompting you to create a donor account.
- This is completely optional, but can be helpful if you need to update your payment information, download transaction info and more!
To access your online giving donor account, use the button on the right.

Once your NEW recurring contribution is set up, please contact Chris Kilburn so that your existing contribution can be cancelled.
Chris will notify you with the confirmation of the cancellationof your previous recurring contribution.

FAQ's of Our Online Giving Platform
When are my gifts automatically taken from my account?
One-time gifts are immediately processed and the transaction should on your bank/credit card statement within a few days.If you chose to make a recurring gift, your first donation will process immediately.
Then, you will receive an email to create an online donor account. Your account allows you to- choose the frequency of your gifts
- choose a date on which the funds will be automatically withdrawn from a checking account or charged to a credit card.
- It is important to choose a date that is convenient for YOU to have the funds withdrawn from your account.
- You can also pause or cancel a recurring gift at any time.
Can I give different recurring gift amounts for different needs?
Yes. Whenever a recurring gift option is made available for a fund , you can schedule a gift to be automatically sent for that particular need. You can also pause or cancel a recurring gift at any time. When multiple recurring gifts are created from the donation, each gift will later appear in your online donor account for easy management.What if my bank account or credit card information changes?
Upon submitting a one-time gift, all information provided will be verified in order for the gift to process.If a donor has a recurring gift, they will be able to log into their online donor account to make any changes or updates to banking account, credit card, and contact information. Donor accounts also allow donors to update any details to their gifts including pausing or cancelling a scheduled gift.
What will happen to my weekly envelopes if I give online?
If you set up an online donor account, you will still receive your supply of weekly and special collection envelopes. This allows you to still see what collections are coming. You can also check the box on the envelope marked, “I give online” and use the empty envelope to still participate in the offertory at Mass.
St. Matthew encourages recurring donors to notify the office ([email protected]) if they no longer use the weekly envelopes.You can also find online giving offertory cards near the church entrances to grab on your way in and use during the offertory at Mass.
Shouldn’t I still have something to put in the offertory basket to show my participation?
Of course. However, to still show your participation in the offertory at Mass, simply pick up an online giving offertory card located by the church entrances. Use these cards to drop into the offertory basket at Mass.
